The PUP today launches its 'YES' Campaign in Ballymena at the Adair Arms Hotel, with a press conference at 11:00am.
Campaign Director, Dawn Purvis said "The 'NO' Campaign have had it pretty easy up to now with plenty of press and media coverage. The 'YES' Campaign is only just starting, and we intend to tip the scales in our favour."
"Various people have contacted our offices to complain that all they seem to be hearing is negative blustering but that they have been assured that the No's will burn themselves out very soon."
"If the No's cannot offer the people and acceptable, cross-community alternative that is viable and realistic, then they should give up the ghost. The people of Northern Ireland are cynical and practical, they know when they are being led up the garden path by people who have nothing to offer. They will, I am sure, show these people what they think of them, by returning a resounding 'YES' at the referendum to what is the best chance we have for a settlement."
