The decision made todayt by the Parades Commission to bann the Apprentice Boy`s march on Easter Monday, does not hold well at the start of the marching season.
This decision shows the Commission siding with violent Nationalism and sidelining those moderate Nationalists who are willing to compromise.
The goodwill and compromise shown by the decision by the Apprentice Boys not to walk down the Ormeau Road last Easter Monday has effectively been thrown in the River Lagan.
The compromise shown by the Loyal Orders to voluntarily re-route parades last year has not been reciprocated by the so called residents groups and yet the Parades Commission seems to side with these self appointed groups.
